Field IG APP: UTM with UTD22 Asset Creation

You can also create a new asset by using the Field IG app instead of the Transcend Platform:

1 – Open the Anova Field IG App. On the Main Menu, click on the NEW INSTALLATION button to create a new Asset (tank).

2 – Insert the UTM Serial Number in the DEVICE ID field box.

3 – Click on START INSTALLATION button.

4 – Click on START INSTALLATION button. The APP will search for the Device ID and if any assets (tanks) are already associated with it.

In this example, no tanks were found for this Device ID. Click on CREATE A NEW TANK ASSET.

5 – To create a new tank, you’ll need to select an Asset Template similar to your tank type and tank capacity/size, using the same device type. 

WARNING: The asset template must be created in Transcend Web portal prior to using the Field IG APP.

NOTE: The asset template must be created in Transcend Web portal prior to using the Field IG APP. If no Asset Template is available, you can create the new asset manually.

6 – Select the correct ASSET TEMPLATE (closest to your tank type and its tank capacity/size) from the list of templates available.

7 – Type the ASSET DESCRIPTION (Tank Title).

8 – Select the SITE from the list of sites available.

9 – If the SITE does not show in the list of options available, click on ADD NEW SITE to create this new location.

10 – Click on CREATE.

11 – This step will take a few seconds (20 to 30 seconds) to create the asset.

12 – A message in color green stating “Asset created successfully” will appear at the top of the page.

13 – (OPTIONAL) An option will appear for technical guidance on how to physically install the device and the sensor. Click YES to confirm.

14 – Verify the Tank information. Click on the pencil icon next to the Asset description to edit.

15 – Verify the Site information. Click on the pencil icon next to the Site description to edit.

16 – Click on NEXT.

17 – Connect the UTD22 sensor to port A on the UTM. When complete, enable “Connect Sensor”.

18 – (OPTIONAL) Click on “VIEW DIAGRAM” for technical guidance on how to physically connect the sensor to the device.

19 – (OPTIONAL) Click on “ADD PHOTOS” to add any photos of the physical installation.

20 – Click on NEXT.

21 – Verify the Level channel information.

22 – Verify the Pressure channel information.

23 – Click on NEXT.

24 – Follow the steps in the APP to activate the UTM with the activation wand (blue magnet).

25 – When activation is finished, select “Completed”.

26 – Click on NEXT.

27 – The app will display the data from the device’s latest activation (communication). The timestamp of the latest activation will be shown at the top of the page.

28 – Verify if the level reading is correct.

29 – Verify if the pressure reading is correct.

WARNING: If pressure reading does not show in the app, please check in the Transcend platform if channel B is created (see steps 4 to 11 of previous article) or contact Customer Success.

30 – You can check the battery level.

31 – Verify the Level channel information. You can also check the Network Signal Strength quality.

32 – (OPTIONAL) Click on “ADD PHOTOS” to add any additional photos of the physical installation.

33 – Click on COMPLETE INSTALLATION.

34 – A message will appear reporting that the device was successfully installed.

35 – Click on DONE.

36 – The installation is complete and the APP will go back to the homepage.

After completing the asset creation in Anova Field IG APP, the installation will be available in the Operations History tab in the Transcend Platform.

37 – Log in to Transcend Platform.

38 – In the Operations Menu, click on the OPERATIONS HISTORY tab.

39 – Click on the installation you created in the Field IG app.

40 – The Installation History Page will open. All the details of the asset creation process in the Field IG app will be shown on the Installation History Page.
