Calibration is used to tie a specific monitor (based on serial number) to a specific product. Anytime a new monitor is installed, or changed to a new product, a calibration must be performed. If a monitor is moved to a new tank with the same product, a calibration is typically not necessary, but it is usually good to verify the levels after the move is complete.
